Share a little time, make a big difference!
The river and our community thrive with the help of dedicated volunteers. By giving your time and effort, you’ll help preserve and restore one of the nation’s most significant rivers.
From education programs and special events to river cleanups and other habitat restoration efforts, there are lots of ways to make a difference.
The MNRR’s Volunteer-In-Parks program is part of a nation-wide collective of people who devote their time and effort to America’s national parks. From taking part in river cleanups to staffing the Mobile Ranger Station, from maintaining park trails to teaching beginner paddlers how to kayak, volunteers play a vital role in protecting and preserving the natural, cultural, and recreational resources of the Missouri River.
Whether you are interested in volunteering for a one-time event or on a regular basis, there’s a volunteer opportunity for you!
Volunteers are vital to our mission! We welcome volunteers who want to support education, stewardship, outreach, and community events that both protect the river and help people build connections to it. As the nonprofit partner of the Missouri National Recreational River, we work alongside the National Park Service and other partners to strengthen awareness, appreciation, and care for the river.
Whether you are volunteering as an individual, family, school group, business, or community organization, we would love to hear from you.
Volunteers are essential for our mission.
