Another NPS paddle on the MNRR!
The days are getting shorter, but here’s another chance to go out on the Missouri National Recreational River with an NPS Ranger!
August 27, from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Meet at the boat launch just below Gavins Point Dam on the South Dakota side of the Missouri River to paddle with a ranger. Enjoy the river’s quiet soundscape, views of natural features, and historic WWII pilings built by German POWs. Conclude the paddle just past Green Island at the Riverside Park boat launch. This is a two-hour float in the national park with a national park ranger.
Participants MUST provide their own transportation, kayaks or canoes, and personal flotation devices (PFDs). If a PFD is needed, the park will loan one for the tour. Hats, suncreen, and water are highly recommended.
No reservation needed.
