Congratulations, Dugan!
“Recently, National Park Ranger Dugan Smith, of the Missouri National Recreational River, received a photograph of a buffalo skull, visible when water levels are low. The photo commemorates his work on 16 Missouri River Cleanup events; and his service as a park ranger for the last 21 years and his military service, all totaling 30 years of service to our country. Smith was awarded the picture by Paul Lepisto, regional conservation coordinator of the Isaak Walton League and Mary Robb, retired City of Yankton employee (not pictured) on behalf of the Missouri River Events Committee at the 16th annual Missouri Cleanup. The photo was taken by Sam Stukel, of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.”
