MNRR Water Trail
The Missouri National Recreational River Water Trail was designated as a nationally significant recreational trail in 2013. Stretching 147 miles from Fort Randall Dam near Pickstown, SD to Sioux City, IA, the MNRR Water Trail encompasses the 39-Mile District of the MNRR, Lewis and Clark Lake, the 59-Mile District of the MNRR, and a channelized section of river from Ponca to Sioux City.
Friends of the MNRR collaborates with the National Park Service, other agencies, and community stakeholders to increase awareness of the water trail, enhance visitor experiences, and support tourism throughout the region.
