View the Night Sky and other NPS Activities
On Friday, August 12, from 10:00 to 11:30, Park rangers from Missouri National Recreational River will join staff from the University of South Dakota for night sky viewing at Spirit Mound, north of Vermillion, South Dakota. Highlights include learning about the Milky Way galaxy and viewing constellations current in the night sky. Bring binoculars if you have them. Telescopes will be provided for viewing.
Please note: Program will be cancelled if cloud cover is forecast.
And on Saturday, August 13, from 7:00 to 8:30, there will be a Randall Creek Ranger Program at Randall Creek, near the Fort Randall Dam.
